Subscription guidelines

The administration of the subscriptions to the Adjuvant Newsletter and the Patent Alert Service and the administration of report purchases are online and enables customers to control their own account and subscription. This does not take away that we will contact customers personally by phone and e-mail in case of problems or questions. Much information can be found in the formal Terms and Conditions. Here we present some guidelines in a more reader friendly way.

Licences and users

There is a 1-10 users license and a multi users license. The 1-10 users license means that the registered customer provides to maximal 10 employees of his/her company or institution the access to the contents of the subscription. A multi users license means unlimited access for employees. The company representative who has registered him/her self on the website is the so-called registered customer. After logging in, this registered customer will see “My webshop Internet Services”. The customer will see the subscription and the possibility to add the other users via the link “add authorised users”. These users will receive an e-mail with their own login code. These users will also be included in our monthly e-mail update. In this new situation, the authorised users are not obligated anymore to use the login code of the registered customer. With the multi-users (>10) license, the registered customer receives an e-mail with a username and password for the other users. With this license the customer is responsible for updating the other users. SURfaPLUS cannot control the extent of distribution within a company or institution. We are confident that registered customers upgrade their subscription when required.

Customer’s account

When a customer logs in and accesses the personal page titled “My webshop Internet Services”, then the customer sees in the upper left corner the link: “Edit your details”. On this page you can change or complete your registration details, your invoice address if different from your details and you can submit/request a new password.

Upgrade subscription

In case you want to upgrade your subscription at the end of the previous subscription, then you can use the renew button on the personal page (visible from one month before expiration till two months after expiration). Once on the webshop cart page, you can add the upgraded service and set the original subscription on zero. Via the update cart button you will see the upgraded service alone.

Payments

Online credit card payment (Master Card, Visa, AE and JCB) and bank transfer via the customer’s bank transfer facility is accepted. With both methods you will be enabled to print a receipt (credit card payments) or an invoice (bank transfer). A hyperlink for a receipt is sent to the customer by e-mail after successful authorization of the credit card. When bank transfer is selected as method of payment, then the customer will see on the webpage the print invoice button.
